Leadership Consultant, Diversity Specialist and Coach, Andrea Briscoe, brings more than ten years experience from her work as a HR manager and specialist in the areas of coaching, staffing, employee relations, training and development.

Corporate and Consulting Experience

Recently as an O/D consultant, Andrea has developed strategic staffing plans, guided recruitment initiatives and created performance management systems. She brings in depth knowledge in the areas of diversity and harassment training and has broad experience coaching on the executive level.

Andrea has been a corporate and financial human resource consultant for KPMG, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Guardian Insurance and Merrill Lynch. In addition to heading up recruitment drives, she helped launch diversity initiatives, recast organizational structures and perform strategic staffing and planning for these firms.

She has been active in public interest advocacy since the 1980s. In the early 1990ís, she worked as a criminal defense attorney and a court advocate serving indigent clients and juveniles in New York City. She also worked as a Domestic Violence Consultant for non-for-profit agencies in Brooklyn, New York.

Academics/Certifications

She holds a Master's degree in Human Resource Management/Organizational Development from the New School. She received a certificate in Executive Coaching from the iCoachNewYork Professional Coaching Program at Baruch College, Executive Education. She is a graduate of the City University of New York Law School. She has been a community mediator and employment mediator with JAMS/Endispute in New York and with the Brooklyn Mediation Center. Andrea received her bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication and Broadcast Journalism.
